Believe it or not, but this is the same plate that created Eye. However, I was playing around with etching the same plate again. So I was trying to get bright highlights and mid tones, but it came out all black really instead. I still get the eye shape from it and in the actual piece there are darker outlines to the shapes, but I kind of like how really abstract this one became.

Here was one of the other early projects in printmaking. We were practicing etching trimetal plates and this was really the first one I did. This abstract eye shape was inspired off Blank Face, and soon after I created an abstracted ear piece as well, but that one was 22x30 so I don't have a scanner large enough to post it.
